Kim Liney from Elizabethtown in Pennsylvania is visiting Letterkenny this week as efforts are made to re-ignite the relationship between the US town and Letterkenny.
For many years, the towns were twinned and members of Letterkenny Town Council visited Elizabethtown during the St. Patrick’s trip to the US each year.
Over the years, close relationships had also been formed between the town’s two councils and their chambers while links were also forged with Letterkenny IT (now Donegal ATU).
On the invitation of Donnan Harvey of the Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter group, Ms. Liney is enjoying a visit to Letterkenny and yesterday, she held discussions with members of the Letterkenny and Milford MD including Cllr Gerry McMonagle and Cllr Ciaran Brogan.
