Shaun Patton collected another cup this morning when Urris GAA made a lovely gesture to their local garda.
Patton was the hero of the hour for Donegal on Sunday as his penalty save saw the county win the Anglo Celt Cup.
The affable St Eunan’s clubman has held coaching sessions with Urris’ young goalkeepers in the past.
And the Inishowen club were quick to recognise his endeavours this morning.
On a post in social media they said:
“The club were delighted to call in with our local Garda Shaun Patton this morning to congratulate him on his Ulster Championship success at the weekend, and present him with a keepsake personalised mug of his fantastic penalty save. Supplied by Sinéad’s Gift Shop.
“Garda Shaun has made a huge contribution to Official Donegal GAA giving the whole community & county a lift in the last few weeks.
“Enjoy the tea breaks.”
