Upset after GAA Club’s new car park is vandalised

KILLYGORDON’S Red Hughes GAA Club has urged the public to “respect” their grounds after vandals “tore up” their newly resurfaced car park on Wednesday night.

Taking to social media today, Red Hughes GAA club said at 10.10pm on Wednesday night a vehicle entered their newly resurfaced car park and tore up the new surface by attempting to do some donuts.

“We have spent a lot of money that you, the community, have donated through our weekly 50/50 draws, Red Level Members Draw and our loyal Bingo supporters.

“We are appealing to everyone, please respect our grounds and refrain from this type of behaviour.

“The Red Hughes GAA Club is open to all members of our community and we are trying our best to provide the children and adults with a top class facility.

“Thank you,” the post concluded.

The club has passed the relevant information on to An Garda Síochána.
