The Letterkenny company which makes medical components in Letterkenny have already made six staff redundant.

Employees at the company, which has a workforce of almost 250, were informed of the news.

It’s believed that an American company placed a large order with Medisize last year and management at the Donegal plant increased their workforce in order to process the order placed.

But it is now understood the company have decided to pull back on some of the order.

Over the last year or so Medisize have taken on more than seventy new staff to keep up with that order and it is those jobs which are now in jeopardy.
