GARDA investigations are continuing following a shooting incident in the Glenswilly area.
The scene (pictured above) at Ballinakilla not far from Templedouglas was examined by forensic officers this afternoon following the incident this morning involving two local local farmers.
A farmer in his early 40’s has sustained shotgun injuries to his face and shoulder.
A firearm was discharged during a dispute between two farmers. The glass cab of a digger was shattered.
The injured man was rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital and is being brought to Galway University Hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not life-threatening.
Another man, who was along with the victim, managed to flee from the scene.
The area where the incident took place was sealed off by local gardaí.
One man is believed to be helping gardai with their enquiries.
There are local reports the row centres adround a right of way land dispute.
