UPDATE: Diversions remain in place following fatal road collision

Gardaí have advised that traffic restrictions remain in place following last night’s fatal road collision at Liscooley near Castlefinn.

The fatal collision involving two vehicles occurred on the N15 at Liscooley at approximately 10pm.

The two male occupants (both in their 30s) from one of these cars were fatally injured.

A woman and a man (both in their 70s) from the second vehicle were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

A second woman (in her 30s) was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí have advised that a diversion remains in place from Castlefinn over the R2534 to Ringsend Crossroads to the L3004 onto Liscooley or Ballybofey.

Diversions are also in place from the Go Filling Station at Liscooley towards L3044 towards Crossroads and via Killygordon back to the N15.

Diversion signs are in place to help road users.
