The “Make Up Act,” featuring Josephine, Andrea, Erin, Promise, Adrian, and Thomas, injected humor into the evening, leaving the audience in stitches.
The winning act, “Synchronize,” comprised of Georgia, Gift, Angel, Debra, Charlotte, and Mayesha, lived up to their name, bringing brilliance to the stage and earning thunderous applause.
“New Normal,” led by second-year Freya Mc Clafferty, rocked the gym with their rendition of ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries.
Meanwhile, first-year students Eden Conlon and Mhairí Larkin showcased their individual dance talents, and Ayesha Moyo delivered a spectacular performance in her native Zulu language, earning a standing ovation.
Second-year students Eva, Matilda, and Adelina entertained with a lively rendition of the “Mean Girls” Jingle Bell Rock scene.
Foreign exchange student Lorena Muller added a touch of elegance with her beautiful rendition of Adele’s ‘Set Fire to the Rain’.
Joan Peiro and Jannik Hennes provided the perfect conclusion to the night, delivering captivating performances that lingered with the audience long after the final notes.
The MCs for the night were 6th year students Shane Boyle and Meave Diver and were both fantastic and added to the student-centred theme of the show.
Show directors Paddy Molloy (music department) and Caitriona Hasson (drama department) along with their team orchestrated the event.
Paddy Molloy said that “it was a fantastic night for both the audience and the large crowd that attended. It’s great to see such an array of talent thriving in our school.
It’s all about the students and giving them a platform to promote their talents and increase their confidence – it’s always student centred”.
Special thanks are extended to the guest judges: Donegal Daddy, Trudy Ní Dhómhnaill, and Martin Mc Ginley.
Their expertise and feedback were invaluable, enhancing the contestants’ experience and elevating the overall atmosphere of the night.
