Former Donegal county star Damian Diver is upbeat after the Ulster Championship draw on Saturday as he believes it will focus the side.
Jim McGuinness’ first championship game back in charge will see Donegal travel to Celtic Park to face back-to-back provincial champions Derry.
Should they win that, a meeting with the winners of Tyrone vs Monaghan/Cavan will be up next in the semi-final.
It was probably the toughest draw they could have got, but the Ardara clubman is excited for the challenge.
“I think it’s a very good draw to be honest because it’ll focus lads now straight away.
“The initial thing will be to come up from Division 2 but in the backs of their minds they’ll have this big game against Derry at Celtic Park for the start of the Championship.
