DONEGAL’S only remaining Ulster Bank branch, Letterkenny, will close on April 21.
Transactions will cease on March 31 with full closure three weeks later, the financial giant has confirmed.
The news comes less than two weeks after branches in Donegal Town, Killybegs, Buncrana and Ballybofey shut as part of Ulster Bank’s phased withdrawal from Ireland.
But unlike those outlets, Letterkenny will not be reopening under the Permanent TSB banner.
Ulster Bank said that as a result of the closure of its remaining 63 branches around 600 staff will be made redundant.
