A group of students from Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair are representing Ireland in Greece where Europe’s largest entrepreneurship competition for young people is taking place this week.
The Eco Paws team is among 800 plus young entrepreneurs from 40 European countries at JA Europe’s Gen E 2025 event in Athens,.
At this event, these young students from the Gaeltacht will have the opportunity to present their innovative business ideas to a live audience and showcase their entrepreneurial skills on the European stage.
Their mini company, Eco-Paws, is an environmentally friendly pet bed company founded by four school friends, Danielle Ní Fhearraigh, Brianna Ní Fhearraigh, Molly Nic Giolla Chomhaill and Fia Nic Giolla Chomhaill.
Their trip is being supported by Údarás na Gaeltachta
“We are extremely proud of these students from Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair”, an Údarás spokesperson said.
“This is a wonderful demonstration of the entrepreneurial potential that exists among our young people in the Gaeltacht. It is important that we support opportunities like this that enable our students to develop their skills and connect with other young people across Europe.”
