TWO people have been seriously injured in a road traffic accident that occurred yesterday morning.
The smash occurred on the R246 at Tirhomin between Milford and Kerrykeel after 10am on Sunday morning.
A man and a woman were rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital, before the man was later transferred to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.
The man, aged in his 30s and the woman in her 20s were seriously injured when their car collided with a lorry. The roof of the car had to be removed by the emergency services to assist the casualties. The driver of the lorry was uninjured.
Gardai have said investigations are ongoing and the crash site is being examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
