Two men dead, two people seriously injured following fatal collision near Castlefinn

Two men have died following a road traffic collision near Castlefinn on Friday night.

The fatal collision involving two vehicles occurred on the N15 at Liscooley at approximately 10pm.

The two male occupants (both in their 30s) from one of these cars were fatally injured.

A woman and a man (both in their 70s) from the second vehicle were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

A second woman (in her 30s) was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene last night.

The road remains closed this morning pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. 

Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to Gardaí.
