Two men dead following Letterkenny crash

Gardaí in Letterkenny are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Letterkenny in the early hours of this morning.

At approximately 4.45am a car collided head on with a van on the inbound carriageway of the N13 (dual carriageway) at Trimragh, Letterkenny. The occupants of the car, two males understood to be be aged in their late teens and 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van (male 40) was taken by ambulance to University Hospital, Letterkenny. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The inbound stretch of the dual carriageway is currently closed to traffic and diversions are in place. Garda forensic collision investigators have been requested to examine the scene and the local coroner has been notified.
