GARDAÍ from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit arrested two drivers on suspicion of drug driving last night.
The first driver was stopped regarding non-conforming ‘N’ plates on their vehicle and they then tested positive for cocaine.
The second driver was stopped as the mobility app alerted Gardaí to the fact that the vehicle had not been taxed for well over 700 days.
The driver then tested positive for cocaine.
Reminding the public that driving while under the influence of drugs is highly dangerous, Gardaí urged drivers not to risk their lives and the lives of others.
“Never drive while under the influence of drugs or alcohol,” a spokesperson concluded.
