KIERAN Roarty’s XL in Dunlewey and Nicola McNulty’s XL Donegal Town are among an elite group of retailers from around the country who have been honoured for their outstanding commitment to their local communities.
The annual XL Retailer Awards celebration were held in The Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone recently.
Hosted by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the XL Retail brand in Ireland, the XL Retail Awards are presented to XL stores that demonstrated outstanding industry excellence following a comprehensive programme of inspections and audits carried out by Ireland’s leading Retail Audit company, SMA Retail Specialists.
Kieran Roarty’s XL Dunlewey was presented with the award for Best Community Initiative, which highlights the store’s commitment to the various fundraising events for very worthy charities they have organised over the years.
It’s famous Family fun day every August has collected significant sums and this money provides critical support to the local hospice and the hugely important ambulance service which aids sick children on their trips to hospital.
Nicola McNulty’s XL Donegal Town went home with the award for Best Customer Service on the night.
The judges found the customer reception to be very special. Its friendly staff are always willing to go the extra mile and leave no stone unturned in ensuring their customers have a pleasant shopping experience.
