Conor O’Donnell from Dungloe and Gary Fitzpatrick from Burnfoot will battle it out in the live final of the competition on Tuesday.
Conor, who is an apprentice plumber, took the top spot when the voting was revealed in last week’s semi-final.
Throughout the competition Conor has been mentored by Patrick Feeney and Conor accompanied Patrick at his shows around the country last weekend which no doubt boosted his confidence.
For the semi-final Conor, a past pupil of the Rosses Community School, performed ‘Back Home to Donegal’ and ‘Red Haired Mary’.
“I’m delighted to be through. To get this far is unbelievable,” said Conor.
“I would like to thank everyone at home. It’s been great and I’m looking forward to next week again.”
County Offaly singer Joe Rabbette came second in the semi final voting while Gary claimed the third spot.
Gary, who is originally from Derry, has been mentored through the competition by country singer Cliona Hagan.
Speaking after his performance Gary said: “I’m over the moon again, I’m ecstatic. I want to thank the judges for keeping me in the competition and everyone at home who voted.
“I’m excited to get in the final. The only sad thing is that it’s over next week and I’ve really enjoyed my journey so far.”
The live final will be in Quays Bar in Galway on Tuesday night at 9.30pm. The show is presented by Aoife Ní Thuairisg and Pádraic Ó Neachtain, with judges John Creedon, Caitríona Ní Shuilibháin and Jó Ní Chéid.
The voting lines are again open ahead of Tuesday’s final and to vote for Conor you can text Glor 2 to 53307 / 60999 and to vote for Gary you can text Glor 6 to 53307 / 60999.
