Two arrested after large drug find in Bundoran house

TWO men were arrested in Bundoran this morning following the seizure of more than €115,000 worth of the ‘party drug’ Methylone.

As part of an ongoing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Ballyshannon area, local Gardai accompanied by members of Revenue Customs Services and Garda Regional Support Unit, seized a quantity of Methylone at a house in Bundoran.

The seizure was made at approximately 9.15am and has, subject to analysis, an estimated street value of €115,000.

Two males, both in their early 50’s, were arrested and are currently being detained at Ballyshannon Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

A vehicle and mobile phones were also recovered during this operation.

Officially known as Methylone, it can have similar effects to ecstasy or MDMA on the user.
