Na Rossa 2-5 Lisnaskea 1-9
Na Rossa finished with twelve men but were narrowly beaten in the Ulster Junior Club Championship quarter-final by Lisnaskea in O’Donnell Park.
The Madavagh men were in control early on despite a Lisnaskea penalty miss by Sean Keenan, and two goals in a minute from Aidan McHugh and Odhran Molloy had them six points up after a quarter of an hour.
But into added time in the first half, Lisnaskea struck the net and Denis O’Donnell was sent off just after for Na Rossa which gave them a difficult task in the second half.
They held in well but Sean McMonagle also saw red and they were drawing with ten minutes to go before McHugh’s free put them a point up going into added time.
But John Paul McCready was harshly penalised for overcarrying and Joe McDade pointed, while Conor Clarke kicked the winning score in added time as Christian Bonner also got sent off.
