TRIBUTES have been paid to the two men who died following a fatal road collision in Donegal on Friday night.
The men, believed to be from Castlederg, have been named as friends Ryan Glenn (25) and Gordy Galbraith, believed to be in his 30s.
Both men died when the Ford Focus car they were travelling in was involved in a collision with a Kia Sportage at Liscooley near Castlefinn at around 10pm on Friday night.
Three other people were involved in the crash, with a man and woman, both aged in their 70s, taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with serious injuries.
The collision occurred on a straight stretch of the N15, with Gardaí now trying to determine what caused the crash.
A Garda spokesperson told the Donegal News that there have been no updates in relation to this fatal collision and that the investigation is ongoing.
Sinn Féin MLA Maolíosa McHugh says people were “devastated” at the deaths of two men from Castlederg and the injury of other people in Friday’s collision.
“I wish to extend my deepest sympathy to the families of Gordy Galbraith and of Ryan Glenn who have been plunged into grief as a result of this tragedy.”
