Tributes paid to Drumkeen’s past and present volunteers

Drumkeen Environmental Community Group hosted a warm and heartfelt evening to recognise and thank both current and former committee members whose quiet dedication over the years has helped to enhance and maintain the parish.

The hall was set up with a lovely Christmas spirit. Guests were welcomed with tea, buns, and mulled wine, accompanied by a display of historic parish photographs that offered a nostalgic journey through the community’s past.

Chairperson Gary Sweeney then presented a framed poem to local parish volunteers as a token of appreciation for their ongoing commitment. This was followed by the unveiling of the poem by Patsy Bonner and Charlie Quinn, honouring the memory of committee members who are no longer with us.
