Finn Harps Football Club has expressed its sympathies to the family of the late Bobby Toland who has sadly passed away.
Bobby was a former manager of the Finn Harps senior team in the League of Ireland and is fondly remembered by all at the club.
Club Chairperson Sean Quinn said that Bobby was a football man to the core from his playing days with Kildrum Tigers whom he founded and with other clubs like Swilly Rovers.
Mr Quinn said: “We’re saddened to learn of the death of Bobby Toland. His involvement with football here in Donegal spanned over seven decades. From he was a young man he had a great vision for the game and that started by helping to found Kildrum Tigers. I want to pay a special tribute in memory of his time here as manager of Finn Harps.
“The committee and players have great memories of those times. Bobby was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed by us all but especially by his family. On behalf of Finn Harps I wish to convey the Club’s sincere sympathies to the Toland family at this very difficult time. May Bobby Rest in Peace.”
