DONEGAL County Council has agreed to carry out a traffic survey in Ramelton following speeding concerns.
Voicing the concerns at last week’s meeting of the Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District, Cllr Pauric McGarvey raised the issue on behalf of the residents of Church Street and Rectory Road.
“The residents were in uproar and a few of them said they were prepared to protest.
“When I heard that I knew it was serious, they brought that to my attention.
“I said in the meeting if they protested, I would stand with them,” he said.
Delighted Donegal County Council took his motion on-board, Cllr McGarvey said he hopes to have traffic calming measures put in place prior to the survey being carried out.
