Speaking to the Donegal News, Councillor Victor Fisher, said it was scandalous traffic at peak morning rush hour was delayed for up to half an hour in places.
“I felt the gardai should have been out helping to control and divert traffic.
It was a very busy time with people trying to get to work and children being left to school,” he said.
“This was the second burst pipe on the Kilmacrennan Road in recent times and it caused huge backlogs.
