ATU Donegal have been handed a difficult draw in Round 1 of the 2024 Sigerson Cup as they will face an away tie against University of Limerick.
The draw was made at Croke Park today and Maxi Curran’s team will travel to the back-to-back beaten finalists on Wednesday, January 10.
The winners of that tie will face the winners of Maynooth vs MTU Cork in Round 2A, while the losing side of both ties will get a second chance and meet each other in Round 2B, both games the week after the Round 1 games.
In the Fergal Maher Cup, ATU Donegal Hurlers have been drawn in Group B with ATU Sligo and ATU Connemara, with a home tie against Sligo on the 24th of January, while they will travel to Connemara the following week.
In the Freshers B Championship, ATU Donegal were drawn in group D with University of Galway, Maynooth and ATU Sligo.
They will have home games against Sligo on Monday, January 15 and against Maynooth the following week before a trip to Galway in Round three.
