The opening session will begin on Friday night in the Glen Tavern at 9.30pm, featuring The Campbells and all musicians.
On Saturday, there will be a bus tour to The Croaghs (3pm) featuring music and story-telling on the bus. At 6pm the festival continues in The Glen Tavern with The (1964) Meeting of John Doherty and Pete Seeger, presented by Conor Caldwell and Danny Diamond.
Following this interesting presentation recalling of Donegal’s famous travelling fiddle and the American folk singer, there will be a music session and barn dance in Dinny’s Barn.
Ceol na gCruach will come to an official close at 2pm on Sunday with a music session in The Glen Tavern. All musicians are most welcome throughout the weekend. The festival is sponsored by Ealainn na Gaeltachta and Donegal County Council.
