FINN HARPS star Tony McNamee says he won’t be going easy on his big brother Barry, when they lock horns in the Premier Division next season.
With Harps back in the top flight, North-West derbies will once again be on the agenda, and Tony won’t just come up against his former club in Derry City, he will also go head-to-head with Barry, who is only 18 months his senior.
The siblings have often played together, but they have only been in opposing teams once before in a competitive game when Tony lined out for Swilly Rovers at under 16 level, and Barry was on the Rathmullan Celtic select.
Harps-Derry clashes can be heated affairs, and Tony assures the Finn Park faithful that he won’t be pulling out of any challenges, even if they are against his brother.
“If he needs kicked, he’ll be kicked,” he said.
