Donegal County Council has announced that due to inclement weather conditions and prevailing winds tonight’s Na Mooneys concert at Downings GAA pitch has been cancelled.
The local authority said the decision has been taken in the interest of health and safety. Na Mooneys were to be accompanied on stage by Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Nia Ní Bheirn, and Manus Lunny and the support act was Donegal artist Declan Mc Clafferty.
“Donegal County Council appreciates that this is disappointing for those planning to attend the event this evening and apologises for any inconvenience caused,” the statement said.
“Tomorrow’s Nathan Carter concert is scheduled to go ahead as planned and we look forward to welcoming attendees to this event.”
