IT’S time to leave the mainland and head west in search of soul. Like a man on a witness protection programme or a nun on the run, Tommy Tiernan takes to the islands of Ireland for his next world tour.
Drawn like an old Christian monk to where wildness and wind are king, in search of late nights, good fiddlers, seafood chowder and a reasonably priced Bed and Breakfast, Tommy brings his decidedly Irish way of looking at the world to these most uniquely Irish of places.
From Tory Island off the coast of Donegal to Bere Island off Cork, he’ll be up and down the Atlantic like a seagull. August will be spent in the most wonderful of ways.
