In the lead up to this year’s Donegal Senior County Final which saw St. Eunan’s take on Dungloe, Tobin’s Service Station in Letterkenny decided on a unique fundraiser by donating all the profits from the sale of their St. Eunan’s flags and bunting to charity.
It was a way for the Tobin family to honour the memory of Aidan McGlynn, the St. Eunan’s club member and much-loved Letterkenny man who passed away last September.
Tobins decided to donate the funds raised in their venture to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
There was a tremendous response to the fundraiser and last Saturday night, at the St. Eunan’s GAA presentation celebrations in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Tobins handed over a cheque for €1,500 to the charity.
Our main photo shows Eddie Tobin presenting a cheque to Ollie Harvey of St. Eunan’s GAA club which will now go to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Included in the photograph is Eddie’s son Kieran who was captain of the victorious St. Eunan’s team, along with members of the McGlynn family including Gareth, Emer, Molly and Lauren.
