DONEGAL great Tony Boyle believes the Donegal players need to focus on the Ulster Championship match against Down despite all that’s happening
The Donegal County Board announced on Tuesday that Aidan O’Rourke, pictured right, would stay on as interim manager for the remainder of the 2023 season following the departure of Paddy Carr last week and their relegation to Division Two.
And while Boyle understands the players’ feelings on the matter, he feels that they can’t let it be a distraction as they gear up for an important Championship opener on April 23.
“Everyone on the outside is looking in but as players they’ve got to stay focused and work hard to hopefully get a result in Newry.
“As an ex-player you try to look at it from both sides and if the players felt that certain standards weren’t being upheld then they probably feel they were right to speak up about it.”
