MEMBERS of Letterkenny’s Tidy Towns Committee are in Dublin today for the annoucenment of the annual Tidy Towns awards results for 2015.
Great strides have been made again by the committee this year and there are strong hopes that they will fare well in the national competition. Last year, Letterkenny was runner up to Kilkenny in the Large Urban Centre section of the National Tidy Towns Awards which were announced in Dublin. Kilkenny went on to win the National Title .
In 2014, Letterkenny was first in the County Awards and also won a Gold Medal.
The announcement of this years winners is expected to be made at lunch time. We will bring you more news on the awards as soon as the winners have been declared.
