Ticket buyers are urged not to leave it ‘Late Late’! for charity ball

THE organisers of the North West Breast Cancer Charity Ball are taking all precautions to ensure that this year’s charity event attracts another big attendance.

They’ve kept the price of the tickets at a very reasonable €50. And their chosen date for the event – Friday, December 1 – means the ball doesn’t clash with the Late Late Toy Show.

Committee member Máire Lynam, said: “We see the breast ball as an opportunity for the whole community to gather together to acknowledge and support the tremendous work being done at Breast Centre North West.

“However, and perhaps more importantly, we gather to celebrate and remember.”

This is the 13th breast ball and tickets are now on sale. By keeping the price of tickets at €50, the organisers hope to see a big demand over the next couple of weeks.

“If you want whole community involvement you have to consider many things,” Máire added.

“Ticket price is an important one and we have not raised the price since the first breast cancer ball.

“We even changed the ball date to ensure it didn’t coincide with the Toy Show. We really DO want everyone there!”

The charity ball takes place in the Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny on Friday, December 1 at 7.15pm.

Letterkenny native Ciara Doherty, presenter of Virgin Media’s The Tonight Show, will be this year’s celebrity guest.

Those attending will also get to meet Mr. Peter Barry, Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital London, special medical guest at this year’s event.

The night will begin with a drinks reception followed by a four course meal. Guests can then dance the night away with the band Red Alert, followed by a DJ.

Tickets are on sale at the Silver Tassie, Letterkenny.
