A WARNING for thunderstorms has been issued for Donegal with hail and heavy downpours expected.

The status yellow warning will remain in place until 6pm this evening (Monday).

Met Eireann has waned of localised spot flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

Meanwhile the Harry Blaney Bridge over Mulroy Bay is closed to High Sided Vehicles due to strong winds.
