Thunderstorm warning issued

A thunderstorm weather warning for Donegal has been issued by Met Éireann. A yellow warning will be in place from 2pm this afternoon (Monday) to 9pm.

The warning also affects counties Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Roscommon, Sligo, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath.

Met Éireann spokesperson said: “Scattered thunderstorms this afternoon and evening with localised downpour leading to poor driving conditions.”
