THREE people have been taken to hospital following a collision at Newmills.

Gardaí and emergency services remain at the scene of the two-vehicle collision which occurred on the R250 at approximately 9.50am this morning.

Two people, a woman in her 80s and a woman in her 60s, were brought to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A man, aged in his 40s, was brought to hospital for assessment.

The road remains closed and diversions are in place via Newmills Bridge and at Rashedoge onto the L5994 through Druminaught.
