Three men charged after €2.2m drugs seized in Donegal

THREE men have appeared before Letterkenny District Court in relation to the seizure of €2.2 million worth of herbal cannabis.

This comes after gardaí and Revenue officers seized approximately 112kgs of herbal cannabis in Ballybofey earlier this year.

The seizure, which was carried out on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, was the result of a joint operation conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), the Donegal Divisional Drugs Unit and Revenue’s Custom Service.

On Monday, three men appeared before Letterkenny District Court where they were charged in relation to this investigation.

A garda spokesperson said: “Investigations are ongoing.”
