Ben Sweeney is one of the longest serving businessmen in the county, with Ben Sweeney Electrical having been in business for more than 50 years.

Dr Michael Sugrue worked in Australia for many years before returning to Ireland in 2008, and he has been a driving force in the promotion and development of Letterkenny University Hospital.

The dates for the receptions will be finalised in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, a Mayor’s reception will be held in honour of Charlie Grant in the chamber of Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District Council in the Public Services Centre in Letterkenny on April 9.

Mr Grant has long been involved in the local Tidy Towns committee and is also a skilled landscape gardener. He was nominated for the prestigious accolade by Councillor Tomás Seán Devine last year.
