THREE Donegal social enterprises have been awarded funding of €100,000 each.
Letterkenny Community Centre CLG has been granted €100,000 to fund the fit-out and finishes to the Social Centre and External site works.
No Barriers Foundation has received €100,000 to fund the purchase of equipment to improve the strength, fitness and mobility of their clients enabling rehabilitation and senior exercise.
Ionad Cois Locha Company has received €100,000 to fund the building of a disability toilet, Air to Water, plumbing and air condition, fire alarm, emergency lighting upgrades, and works to improve access to the playground.
Confirming the allocations, Minister McConalogue said, “I am delighted to confirm today that three Donegal social enterprises will benefit under the Scaling Up Fund. Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine and Donegal TD, Charlie McConalogue, Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, has today confirmed €300k investment to support three Donegal social enterprises.
“This funding will directly enable these social enterprises to develop and expand the vital services that they provide in communities in Donegal”.
He continued, “thank you to these enterprises for the great work they do.”
