Three young Donegal footballers have been selected on the Future Stars Gaelic Football team for 2024.
Conor McCahill (Abbey VS) is named at full-forward, while Cathal Ó Gallchóir (Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair) occupies a wing-back spot, and Eoghan Gallagher (Abbey VS) has earned a position at wing-forward.
The Future Stars is a programme run by Queen’s University, and the players had to attend trials and fight off competition from the best players in Ulster. A gala celebration was held in Belfast on Tuesday to honour those selected.
McCahill (Four Masters), Cathal Ó Gallchóir (Gaoth Dobhair) and Eoghan Gallagher (Naomh Brid) have represented their club and schools with distinction and all three are part of the Donegal minor football panel this year.
