Three Donegal players named in GAA.ie Team of the Week

Three Donegal players have been named in the GAA.ie Team of the Week while Oisin Gallen has been nominated for Player of the Week.

The MacCumhaills man was named in the team for his four points from play and is up for the Player of the Week alongside Galway’s Paul Conroy and Mayo man Aidan O’Shea.

Naomh Conaill’s Ciaran Thompson was also named in the team as he too kicked four from play, while Killybegs man Eoghan ‘Ban’ Gallagher was the third member of Aidan O’Rourke’s team to be recognised for his performance in the 0-14 to 0-9 win over Clare in Cusack Park.

Gallen can be voted for as Player of the Week on the officialgaa Instagram page.

Donegal won their opening game of the All-Ireland series in Clare and the date and time for their second fixture against Derry was also confirmed last night.

Sunday at 4pm on June 4 is the official date for the game between Donegal and the Ulster Champions in MacCumhaill Park.
