Three Donegal driving test centres’ pass rate above national average

All three Donegal driving test centres have recorded a pass rate above the national average.

The average pass rate across all centres last year was 53 per cent meaning over one in two people who sat the test in 2022 passed.

The Buncrana test centre recorded a rate of 58.2 per cent, while Letterkenny’s pass rate was recorded at 60.8 per cent. Donegal Town recorded the highest pass rate in the county with a rate of 61.2 per cent.

The figures compiled by Newstalk show there’s a 37 per cent difference between the areas with the highest and lowest pass rate.

Ballincollig test centre in Cork had a pass rate of 75 per cent last year, the highest in the country, while the two centres with the lowest pass rates were in Dublin – one in Mulhuddart (38 per cent) and another in Charlestown (39 per cent).
