Thousands without power after Storm Darragh

THOUSANDS of homes and businesses across Donegal are still without power this morning after Storm Darragh caused havoc across the county over the weekend.

A spokesperson for ESB yesterday told this newspaper that as of 2pm on Sunday, there were approximately 3,750 customers across Donegal without power as a result of the Storm Darragh.

Crews from Donegal County Council and the ESB have been out in force as a major clean-up operation continues in the wake of heavy winds and rain across the county.
