A LETTERKENNY man, who stole 20 replica guns and was apprehended because of DNA evidence from a cigarette butt and a covert CCTV camera, was jailed for five years at the Circuit Court sitting in Letterkenny this week.
Robert Orr (24) of 2 Gaeltex, Oldtown also pleaded guilty to a charge of assault causing harm, criminal damage and possession of an article capable of causing serious harm.
The court heard that Orr dropped a cigarette butt inside Donegal Airsoft gun range at Newtowncunningham on August 23 last year when he and others broke in and stole the 20 replica hand guns and rifles.
