THERE are thirty patients without a bed at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning, according to the latest Trolley Watch figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).
Thirteen patients are waiting on trolleys in the emergency department and 17 elsewhere in the hospital.
According to the HSE’s daily urgency and emergency care report there were 17 patients that had delayed transfers of care at LUH as of midnight last night. This means the patient was either ready for discharge or transfer but was still occupying a bed.
The HSE report said there was one patient at LUH waiting more than 24 hours for an inpatient bed.
