Ryan McHugh and Michael Murphy were on the Dún na nGall team in the 2014 All-Ireland final against Ciarraí. Patrick McBrearty came on after 46 minutes, replacing Ryan McHugh. Present-day mentors Neil McGee and Colm A. McFadden were on the team that lost to Ciarraí 2-9/0-12. Paul Murphy and Paul Geaney were on the Ciarraí team.
Michael, Paddy and Ryan are the longest-serving players on the Dún na nGall squad. Michael Murphy has played 190 times for Dún na nGall, catching up on Neil McGee’s 194: Patrick McBrearty has played 166 games and Ryan McHugh 154. The other centurions on the squad are:

CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCES
Twelve of the Dún na nGall squad have played in all 10 2025 Championship games including Michael Murphy and Conor O’ Donnell and Finnbarr Roarty.
Five of the squad have played in all 18 2024 and 2025 Championship matches – Ciarán Moore, Ryan McHugh, Peadar Mogan, Shane O’Donnell and Paddy McBrearty.
Two of the squad have played in all 23 of the 2023, 2024 and 2025 Championship matches – Dáire Ó Baoill and Oisín Gallen.
Brendan McCole has played in all 30 of the 2021 – 2022 – 2023 -2024 and 2025 Championship matches as well as in the 2020 game against An Cábhán – 31 in succession.
Ciarán Thompson made his Championship debut on 6th August 2016 in Croke Park against Baile Átha Cliath in the All-Ireland quarter-final (lost 1-15/1-10) and has played in all Dún na nGall’s Championship matches since – a most remarkable 52 in-a-row.
