The name’s McNutt

There was great excitement in Downings yesterday when Hollywood star Pierce Brosnan popped in to the McNutt store for a surprise visit.

The former 007 actor is in Donegal to film scenes for the film ‘Four Letters of Love’  and has been spotted in various locations around the county including Glenveagh National Park and in the Dunfanaghy area.

Earlier this week filming for the new romance drama took place along the north coast of Antrim before crews moved on to Donegal.

McNutt of Donegal took to their social media to express their delight at the actor’s visit.

“We weren’t expecting Pierce Brosnan to visit us at the mill today but what a treat it was,” they said.

Brosnan stopped to take a photo with Anne from the McNutt team and was looking great in his McNutt of Donegal Tweed cap.

‘Four Letters of Love’ is based on Niall Williams’ bestselling novel. It will see Brosnan star alongside Helena Bonham Carter as the parents of fated lovers played by up-and-coming actors Fionn O’Shea (“Dance First”) and Ann Skelly (“The Nevers”). Gabriel Byrne will also star in the film.
