MORE than 500 people attended the funeral of singer Bridie Gallagher who was laid to rest in her native Creeslough on Wednesday.
The final farewell to the ‘Girl from Donegal’ was led by the county’s own Daniel O’Donnell who greeted family members when the cortege arrived in Creeslough.
The street was lined with hundreds of people who waited for the hearse which travelled from Belfast where Requiem Mass was held on Wednesday morning in St Bridget’s Parish Church on the city’s Malone Road.
