‘The gap has definitely closed in’ – Wehrley

FORMER Dungloe manager Robert Wehrley says that Aodh Ruadh have been the story of the Donegal SFC so far.

The group phase has now been finalised with four rounds of fixtures completed and the race for the Dr Maguire is down to 12 teams.

Wehrley felt there was plenty of excitement on the final day last Saturday as there was a lot at stake as teams tried to qualify for the top four and the preliminary quarter-finals.

Aodh Ruadh finished at the summit of the standings as the only team to win all four of their games.

Despite that, the bookmakers don’t have them as one of the leading contenders to win the Championship.
