THE Balor’s big summer musical Crazy Nights opens tomorrow night.
Crazy Nights tells the story of Jules, a regular performer at music venue The Good Note.
The venue is in financial trouble and owner Ernie needs to come up with €25,000 by the end of the month to keep the wolf (and the bank) from the door.
Jules ex-boyfriend Billy is now a big star but Jules is reluctant to swallow her pride and ask him for help.
There’s always the option of approaching notorious money lenders The Smiths but that’s fraught with danger.
Maybe a good old fashioned fund raising gig will do the trick?
Whatever happens, Jules, Ernie and the rest of the staff at The Good Note are in for some crazy nights!
The summer musical has become a hotly anticipated fixture of Balor programming with past productions such as Hairspray, Grease and The Hit Factory drawing large crowds and rave reviews.
The creative team behind previous musical successes of Director Caroline Bell, Musical Director Alice Gildea and Choreographer Katriona MacNamee have reunited and have put over 60 talented teenagers through their paces over the summer.
The original script by Conor Malone (writer of previous musical The Hit Factory) is peppered with well known songs from artists such as Queen, Abba, Taylor Swift, Bruno Marrs and Miley Cyrus.
Says Balor manager and writer Conor Malone: “Having seen the cast in action in rehearsals I can guarantee that you will be amazed at the singing, acting and dancing talent that Caroline and her team have put together on stage. Some of it really is goosebumps, hair on the back of your neck stuff.”
