For the month of October the corridors of Loreto Community School will be filled with the songs of ABBA as our students and staff prepare to take their latest musical to the stage. “Thank you for the Music” is the ultimate feel-good show that promises to have you dancing in the aisles!
Rehearsals have been taking place since last April and the next few weeks will see our sports hall being converted into a professional theatre – the perfect venue to showcase the wonderful talents of our students.
“Thank you for the Music” is set on a sunny Greek island and includes such ABBA hits as “Dancing Queen”, “The Winner takes it All” and “Souper Trouper”. The musical involves over one hundred pupils and a number of staff members have promised to make a guest appearance! Platforms, flairs and sequins are at the ready as final touches are being put to songs, dances and costumes.
“Thank you for the Music” will run from Wednesday, October 18th to Sunday, October 22nd. Tickets are available from the school and cost €12 with a special Family ticket costing €40 that admits two adults and two children under the age of 12.
